Entry Requirements: No prior qualifications are necessary, however management responsibility plus Year 10 numeracy and literacy standard is required to demonstrate competencies.

Employability Skills: Employability Skills for each qualification have been determined by the Department of Education, Employment and Workforce Relations (DEEWR). These are the recommended skills identified to gain employment, establish an enterprise, for career progression, to expand employment capability and to achieve individual potential and contribute to organisational strategic outcomes. Training Packages have been reviewed to ensure that Employability Skills feature in their units of competency.

SKILLS OUTCOME

On completion, students will have achieved the knowledge and skills to plan and manage the critical elements of projects and to:

  • Write effective project and marketing plans to meet the delivery requirements of corporate/business expectations
  • Use mechanisms linked with the plan for the day-to-day control of projects to meet objectives
  • Provide quality deliverables, with the ability to meet reporting requirements on demand
  • Select appropriate tools to support monitoring and control mechanisms and marketing activities
  • Assign agreed responsibilities to get the best out of core and broader team capabilities.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Given some participants may already be able to demonstrate their competence in some units, RPL is available and acknowledges skills and knowledge that may have been gained through formal and informal training and/or learning, work experience and life experience.
