UNE Partnerships is now offering a range of “Skills builder” short courses that develop a variety of skills, depending on your area of interest. There are no prerequisites and successful completion provides direct credit towards a full qualification with UNE Partnerships.

All study notes are available online, including a range of resources and online submission of assessment tasks. Students will also have access to full administrative and academic support through their candidature. On successful completion, a Statement of Attainment will be awarded.

Develops the skills to manage a simple project and incorporates the following elements:

  • Defining the project
  • Developing the project plan
  • Administering and monitoring the project
  • Finalising the project
  • Reviewing the project.

The course focuses on the application of project management skills and the requirement to meet timelines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project. This is not a course for specialist project managers.

Interpret market trends and developments  (BSBMKG507A)

Develops the skills to analyse and prepare market forecasts in developing marketing plans and includes:

  •  Interpret trends and market developments
  • Analyse qualitative results
  • Report on market data

This is relevant for managers who use statistical techniques to analyse organisational and competitor marketing performance and to interpret new and emerging trends when forecasting future business needs. Information gathered is used to assist in developing an organisation's marketing plan and to determine the current or potential success of marketing strategies.

Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities (BSBMKG501B)

Develops the skills to:

  • Review the global market environment
  • Assess international business and electronic commerce market factors
  • Identify risk factors for international marketing opportunities
  • Investigate international business and electronic commerce marketing opportunities

This course is suitable for senior managers who are required to evaluate the international business environment in preparation for entering an international or export market for the first time, or to identify new opportunities in markets in which their organisation already has a presence.
