The mining industry and UNE Partnerships
Customised training for mining organisations
UNE Partnerships has been working within the mining industry for many years and understands the challenges associated with learning and development. Our Frontline Management program has been customised for mining organisations, with specialised delivery methods taking into consideration remote locations and shift work.
Find out what we’ve been able to achieve in our 2010 Mining newsletter.
Resource Industry Training Fund
The Resource Industry Training Fund (RITF) provides financial support to organisations within the resources industry toward the delivery of training for new and existing employees. It was established by the Queensland State Government’s Department of Education and Training (DET), and is managed by the Mining Industry Skills Centre on their behalf.
The RITF plays an important role in enabling organisation to:
- implement their training and development programs
- increase their ability to attract and retain employees
- contribute to the quality and availability of skills industry-wide, and
- improve their productivity.
Eligible applicants are entitled to reimbursement of up to 50% of the RTO direct cost - the amount the Registered Training Organisation (UNE Partnerships) charges for the delivery of the training/assessment.
Is your organisation eligible to access the RITF?
Call Kathryn Hogan on 02 6773 0017 for further information or visit the Resources Industry Training Fund website for applications.
Traineeships
Traineeships offer a range of qualifications that attract government funding, conditional upon duration of employment and prior qualifications. Click here for further information.“Having been involved with implementing the Frontline Management courses with UNE Partnerships for over five years, I recommend the flexible approach, the supportive and structured coaching style of assessment and professional organisation offered by the UNE Partnerships team.
Developing leadership skills is not always easy. UNE Partnerships’ self paced process can align leaders (and emerging leaders) with company processes and systems, provide staff with new tools to assist in leadership roles and complement other development activities within your organisation”
