GRADUATION CEREMONY

Come and join the celebration

UNE Partnerships will be holding a formal graduation ceremony on Saturday 01 November 2008. The ceremony will be held at UNE Partnerships’ head office, the Old Teachers College in Armidale from 2 pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your achievement and share the success with your friends and family. We invite all students who have completed their studies between 06 May 2006 and 29 August 2008 to attend this special event. If you have already received your qualification, we will be happy to present a duplicate copy to you at the graduation. A celebratory drink and refreshments will be served after the graduation ceremony.

For those that have studied by distance, this provides a great occasion to meet staff from UNE Partnerships, and to reacquaint those that have attended workshops or residential schools

UNE Partnerships will also be holding a Professional Development Workshop prior to the graduation,

Topic                Project Core
Time                 Saturday 01 November 2008, 9 am to 12 pm
Speaker           Sandra Scheetz, Academic Director for Project Management
Venue             Oorala Aboriginal Centre, UNE campus.

This workshop has been designed to introduce project management, specifically what you will consider when planning to deliver a project.  The workshop content is based upon the PMBOK (a Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge), an industry standard on which UNE Partnership’s project management qualifications are based.  The workshop covers how to scope a project and how to undertake detailed planning, based on the scope. The content will be useful if you deliver projects, are a stakeholder to projects, and are interested in project management and what it means, or wish to refresh some of the project management knowledge you may already hold.

Numbers are limited, so please register your interest online at www.unep.edu.au/graduation or contact Di Yeomans on 1800 066 128.
