Module Outlines

Theme 1: Leadership

Manage People (BSBFLM514A)

Most organisations regard people as their most valuable resource. This module looks at managing the performance of individuals in teams, and learning to identify and address issues and problems. It focuses on building commitment and support within the work team.

Ensure Team Effectiveness (BSBFLM512A)

The module looks at the shift towards team-based organisations that reduces the need for close supervision, as team members encourage one another to adapt to organisational requirements. It addresses the necessity of establishing team performance plans.

Manage Projects (BSBCMN419A)

This module is intended to give you the skills and tools to manage projects within your workplace. It focuses primarily on developing, monitoring and reviewing a project within the organisation.

Facilitate and Capitalise on Change and Innovation (BSBFLM510B)

This module focuses on the planning, introduction and facilitation of change, and supporting change in response to emerging challenges and opportunities.

Theme 2: Management

Manage Operational Plans (BSBFLM505B)

This module will present operational planning using a project management strategy. It will take you through a practical approach to managing operations and give you the opportunity to practice skills covered in the context of your workplace.

Financial Planning and Budgets (BSBMGT503A/504A)

This module looks at developing, analysing, monitoring and reporting on strategic and operational financial plans. It addresses the development of revenue, expenditure and capital investment proposals of plans, whilst also building agreement for and communicating budgets and financial plans.

Theme 3: Stakeholders

Manage Quality Customer Service (BSBFLM507B)

This module focuses on determining the customer service management requirements for a business environment. It addresses identifying customers, understanding their needs, and then attempting to satisfy those needs in terms of time, quality and costs, with profitable outcomes for all parties.

Manage Meetings (BSBADM502A)

This module is intended to give you the skills to prepare for, conduct and follow up meeting within the designated timelines. It focuses on enabling full participation, discussion, problem solving, and resolution of issues.
